Sam Bradley rocked The Islington in London last night! This was Sam's second consecutive sold out London gig this year.

Sam's stage presence and confidence has increased by leaps and bounds, and he knows how to give the audience what they want.

Performing with a full band that included his sister Grace Lindsey lent even more energy and passion to Sam's music.

The worldy audience had members from not only London and the UK, but fans from Texas, New York and Europe also turned out to see him perform!
Sam’s witty stage stories included anecdotes to (and about) friend and fellow musician Marcus Foster who was in the audience.

Singer-Songwriter Ryan Keen, was also in attendance supporting his former tour mate and friend.

The show was one of the best we've seen.  We continue to support each success Sam embraces and look forward to his very bright future in the music biz.

Sam Bradley Night and Day - Manchester Gig Post

SHOW REPORT

Night & Day, Manchester, 23 July 2013

Woman You Crazy
Little Sister
Not Your Kind
Only Human
Pain In My Heart
You Don’t Mean Nothing
Back Around
Too Far Gone
Lights

The anticipation of seeing Sam with a live supporting band was immense, and I can confirm that my expectations were met and succeeded.  When you love an EP so much, and are used to listening to versions of your favourite songs performed live by the artist, solo, you wonder what the sound will be like with an accompanying band.  Well, it was more than satisfying.

Playing at Night ‘n’ Day CafĂ© to a crowd of about 30-40 people, Sam thanked everyone for coming and gave a shout out to his support act Shauna Mackie (who is worth checking out).

His set began with a instrumental introduction to a Daniel Beddingfield song that soon ran into the opening chords of ‘Science Prevents Me’ swiftly followed by the magnificently catchy ‘Bless Her Soul’.  The effect of the full band meant that you got to hear every little added chord, beat and bass-line all the more clearly. Although Sam and his band have only been together for a short while, the chemistry and timing was fantastic.

Sam appeared to be in his element, interacting with all his band mates as well as getting the audience involved and giving us the usual anecdotes prior to most of the songs in his set.

Moving on to “Not Your Kind’ and the added layers of a live band brought an unexpected emotional element to the song.  As the cymbals crashed, it was as though the sound was echoing the lyrics – like waves crashing and fighting the tide of the realisation that he is “not your kind”.

With “Only Human” the song began with a marching snare drum sound and the electric guitar solo at the bridge was amazingly overwhelming.

Sam tried his best to get the party started towards the end of his gig, coming down from stage and beckoning the audience up to dance, but to no avail – alas the restraints of a small crowd.  However, soon afterwards people began dancing and clapping along in their chairs feeling the full force of Sam’s stage presence and no longer able to merely sing along and smile.

Sam with a band smashed the noise out of his live performance.  He seemed to come even more alive on stage – if that is even possible – and enjoyed every second of his first live performance with his band.

"I recently discovered Sam Bradley at a Ryan Keen gig, and have never looked back since. This guy can write a song and compose a melody. A true showman live, with meaningful lyrics about family, religion, observations etc etc! Once you have heard him you will love him too. "Science Prevents Me" is a personal favourite, as is the beautiful "Only Human'.

Covering different genres, Sam's genre is mixed but not mixed up! Giving you a flavour of everything he can do.

Buy the EP, and discover your new favourite singer/songwriter.

Good luck Sam!"

"This album feels too real. Only human is one of my favorites for its raw touch and perfect sound. The album is diverse and one you can enjoy listening to every track."

Fan Review

Sam Bradley - "Not Your Kind"

First and foremost, I'm a fan of Sam Bradley.  This is not news for anyone who knows me. I have planned vacations around his US Tour dates, and I have been known to leave my family for days at a time to see each and every one of his shows within a several hundred mile radius. Like I said....I'm a fan.

If you had asked me yesterday, I would have told you the only way to truly appreciate Sam's music is to see him live.  I have purchased his EP's and CD's and though I love them and listen to them A LOT, to me, there was something so much more connected between Sam and his music when you you have the opportunity to see him live. Beyond the fact that he is an engaging and quite funny entertainer, when Sam performs live he takes the audience right into that part of himself that the song came from. Whether he is playing the amusing "Passport" or the evocative  "Details" Sam always takes the audience right to "the place" with him.

That's what I would have said yesterday... today, with the release of Sam's "Not Your Kind" (available on iTunes today) Sam has given his fans, and the rest of the world, the live show experience of jumping into his music with him... in an EP.

To say that I was blown away by this wonderful offering from the young Mr. Bradley would be an huge understatement. I have heard some of these songs live... and though I was excitedly looking forward to owning them for myself.. I did not expect the impact this EP had on me.

I loved the country flavor given to the songs on this EP, but noted that Sam didn't leave his rocker side far away.  "Science Prevents Me" is an excellent example of the perfect blending of both the country and rock sides, the styles flowing into each other throughout the song. While the title track "Not Your Kind" is a sweet play of notes arranged with a solid country flair.  As does "Bless Her Soul" one of his newer songs on the EP.   It is an up tempo, full on country, that seems to speak of a female who just can't be stopped in her own pursuits, constantly changing, looking for the next thing.

Sam has always seemed, to this writer, to be an observer of all that goes on around him.  "Only Human"  is a song that beautifully  shows the observant side of this performer. He takes in the world around him, he sees more than most people, I think.

The absolute jewel on this EP, is "Little Sister".  It is difficult to describe with words the experience while listening to this song, except for possibly one, tears.  Many of Sam's fans have expressed that they feel a special connection to this song, perhaps because it seems to convey a universal feeling so many of us have experienced.  That feeling that we might have lost ourselves in a relationship.  The feeling that this was not what we had expected our lives to be, but maybe .. maybe things will change, if we stick with it. "Little Sister" reminds us, that though we may feel alone sometimes.... we aren't. If we could only find that one piece of ourselves that knows we can have, and deserve, better.

With  "Not Your Kind" Sam Bradley has made the one connection I have been waiting for.  The one connection I knew he would get to.  He has brought his passion for his music, normally seen on stage, into the recording studio and given his fans their best listening experience yet, and reminded us all, despite the EP name, he really is our kind.

Sam Bradley - Show Report(s) O2 Academy Newcastle

O2 Academy
Newcastle, UK
19 April 2013

Setlist

Science
Too Far Gone
That’s How Strong My Love is (cover)
Little Sister
She Moves Me
Lights
(Charles Manson Speech)
Go Back

Sam’s musical/comedy show continued last night in Newcastle at the trendy venue, O2 Academy (part of the Academy Music Group.

Another talent was discovered when Sam recited an excerpt from Charles Manson’s speech from NBC’s 1987 interview.  His oration/performance of this was almost as impressive as his musical skills, making us think a career on the "dramatic stage" can also be on this young man's horizon.

Video of Manson's speech can be found here at the 3 min mark.

Another Fan Report from Newcastle!
 by:  Geordiechick1 and AAAMcD

Having seen Sam Bradley several times in London during the last year, we were extremely excited at the prospect of him playing at venues further North as per our frequent requests.

Friday night Newcastle – Since becoming fans of Sam, our kids have naturally become accustomed to hearing Sam’s dulcet tones and harmonies, having forced our musical influences down their throats all of their lives. They themselves have since become fans of Sam’s by proxy, so we were really excited to be able to take them to a local gig.  Swedish House Mafia who?

Joel was first up with his set, warming the audience nicely, followed swiftly by Sam who performed a combination of upbeat tracks and ballads and received a warm reception from a crowd of serious gig goers who were there to appreciate real live talent.  Appreciate they certainly did, as was evident by the queue to meet Sam afterwards and to buy his CD’s.

double your fun

Speaking with Sam after the gig, he told us the general feedback from the tour so far was very positive, and when commenting on his humorous interaction with the audience, he joked that he had been asked whether he was “a funny singer or a comedian who sings!”

Verdict from our teenage boys?........ “Totally awesome!”
