Set list:
Science Prevents Me
You Don’t Mean Nothing
Too Far Gone
Details
She Moves Me
Lights
Go Back

Sam Bradley performed to a packed venue at The Half Moon last night. Performing acoustically and solo with no band really showed his vocal talents. Despite being jet-lagged, as he had only returned from the US the day before, he entertained everyone in the room.

It was great as a fan to hear Details as he hasn't played this in a while. She Moves Me was a highlight of the night. Sam's clear vocals and a silent attentive audience made this a memorable song and they showed their appreciation with loud applause.

Sam's set was part of a all day festival and the crowd loved him.

His intro's to songs were as entertaining and funny as ever. Sam's talent as a singer-songwriter and as an entertainer keeps getting better and better and he gained many new fans.

Check out Katie's brilliant video capturing Sam's performance of You Don't Mean Nothing.

Sam Bradley rocked The Islington in London last night! This was Sam's second consecutive sold out London gig this year.

Sam's stage presence and confidence has increased by leaps and bounds, and he knows how to give the audience what they want.

Performing with a full band that included his sister Grace Lindsey lent even more energy and passion to Sam's music.

The worldy audience had members from not only London and the UK, but fans from Texas, New York and Europe also turned out to see him perform!
Sam’s witty stage stories included anecdotes to (and about) friend and fellow musician Marcus Foster who was in the audience.

Singer-Songwriter Ryan Keen, was also in attendance supporting his former tour mate and friend.

The show was one of the best we've seen.  We continue to support each success Sam embraces and look forward to his very bright future in the music biz.

Sam Bradley Night and Day - Manchester Gig Post

SHOW REPORT

Night & Day, Manchester, 23 July 2013

SET LIST

Daniel Beddingfield’s “Intro”
Science Prevents Me
Bless Her Soul
Woman You Crazy
Little Sister
Not Your Kind
Only Human
Pain In My Heart
You Don’t Mean Nothing
Back Around
Too Far Gone
Lights
Go Back
Soho Whores
She Moves Me

The anticipation of seeing Sam with a live supporting band was immense, and I can confirm that my expectations were met and succeeded.  When you love an EP so much, and are used to listening to versions of your favourite songs performed live by the artist, solo, you wonder what the sound will be like with an accompanying band.  Well, it was more than satisfying.

Playing at Night ‘n’ Day Café to a crowd of about 30-40 people, Sam thanked everyone for coming and gave a shout out to his support act Shauna Mackie (who is worth checking out).

His set began with a instrumental introduction to a Daniel Beddingfield song that soon ran into the opening chords of ‘Science Prevents Me’ swiftly followed by the magnificently catchy ‘Bless Her Soul’.  The effect of the full band meant that you got to hear every little added chord, beat and bass-line all the more clearly. Although Sam and his band have only been together for a short while, the chemistry and timing was fantastic.

Sam appeared to be in his element, interacting with all his band mates as well as getting the audience involved and giving us the usual anecdotes prior to most of the songs in his set.

Moving on to “Not Your Kind’ and the added layers of a live band brought an unexpected emotional element to the song.  As the cymbals crashed, it was as though the sound was echoing the lyrics – like waves crashing and fighting the tide of the realisation that he is “not your kind”.

With “Only Human” the song began with a marching snare drum sound and the electric guitar solo at the bridge was amazingly overwhelming.

Sam tried his best to get the party started towards the end of his gig, coming down from stage and beckoning the audience up to dance, but to no avail – alas the restraints of a small crowd.  However, soon afterwards people began dancing and clapping along in their chairs feeling the full force of Sam’s stage presence and no longer able to merely sing along and smile.

Sam with a band smashed the noise out of his live performance.  He seemed to come even more alive on stage – if that is even possible – and enjoyed every second of his first live performance with his band.

That’s How Strong My Love Is

You know those wishes you have for one of your favourite musicians? A pivotal career moment? The dream gig that musician have for themselves? Yea… that happened. Sam Bradley performing at The Troubadour in London, his new EP just released, to a sold out crowd :)

To say the atmosphere was amazing would be an understatement. Every fan in the venue loved Sam and they made it known by singing along to Too Far Gone, hand clapping to the beat of Lights and loud applause at the end of each song. This was a celebration for Sam and everyone that had supported his music.

Sam performed most songs with his equally talented sister Grace Lindsey, and 3 band members. The gig was definitely a family affair, with their mother Lee Lindsey in the audience, and Sam and Grace performing Only Human, co-written by Lee. Another song from his new EP, Little Sister really shows off Sam’s vocal range. The performance of his EP’s title track Not Your Kind and the energetic performance (by Sam, Grace and the audience) of Bless Her Soul was a great way to persuade fans to purchase his EP as soon as they could, if they hadn't done so already that is.  A new song You Don’t Mean Nothing To Me was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone there.

The gig was a big success and gained Sam new fans as well as cementing his relationship with his loyal fanbase. Sam just gets better and better. I attended the gig with 2 first timers and they told me afterwards how much they enjoyed Sam’s music and would love to see him perform again in the future. 2 new fans made. Job done. ..until the next gig ;)

 Go back

It was good to be back at Notting Hill Arts Club which is a great venue for intimate gigs. Tonight it was packed and the audience was much larger than Sam Bradley’s previous show there this year.  Even though he was not headlining ‘TV Nights’ a lot were here just to see Sam (I know, I checked with the door).

There was no denying that Sam Bradley’s tour of the US earlier this year has given him more confidence in his performances. Last night’s show at Notting Hill Arts Club was testimony to that.

As I entered the club the unmistakable moody opening bars of ‘Lights’ filled the room and the audience was riveted to his performance, a pause in the song due to forgotten lyrics brought a little humour as his mum came to his rescue!  Sam explained to the audience that his set had a theme and that was ‘about feeling… love and passion… experience and fire…It’s about the Euros’.  In short, his support of England and football.  Odds at 12/1 mean it’s a long shot but it’s nice he’s patriotic.

In reference to his theme, his next song ‘Science Prevents Me’ was, according to the man, about not believing. Perhaps he hoped that by cheering “Come on England” before ‘Not your kind’ might bring them some much needed luck. I couldn’t detect the football theme in this song unless the disappointment conveyed in the song parallels what the nation will be feeling if England doesn’t win (fingers, toes & legs all crossed though).

I had never heard Sam perform ‘That’s How Strong My Love Is’ live and it was executed beautifully tonight. Although he didn’t pen this song, his performance was intense and soulful.  It’s always fun to see him perform ‘Details’ and it’s usually prefaced with an anecdote, tonight – carrying on the theme, he professed his love of football (you don’t say!) but not of the yob culture that is often associated with football fanaticism. His authoritative singing of remorseful lyrics should serve as a warning about such violence.

The set concluded with fan-favourites ‘Little Sister’ and ‘Go Back’ and the audience soaked up his oft gritty yet mellifluous vocals. Like a dutiful son, Sam thanked his mum and was gracious in his thanks to all that came out tonight. His worry that people wouldn’t turn up tonight was unfounded. He should really take his own advice and believe in his musical abilities and appeal.
